The development of the renewable energy sector illustrates the ability of the Drâa-Tafilalet region to foster new circles of wealth capable of contributing to its economic advancement, parallel to the efforts deployed to enhance value creation in other sectors and thus boost the regional GDP.

Key projects such as the Noor Ouarzazate and Noor Midelt solar complexes, the photovoltaic project Noor Tafilalet, and the Midelt wind farm, with a combined capacity of nearly 1,600 MW, are all projects that made a substantial impact on the Kingdom’s prominence in terms of sustainable development and the green economy.
