An introductory training session on e-commerce was organized on Monday in Errachidia by the Drâa-Tafilalet Regional Investment Centre (IRC) for the benefit of the province’s restaurateurs, traders, artisans and cooperatives.
This initiative is part of the implementation of the partnership agreement signed last December between IRC Drâa-Tafilalet and Glovo Morocco, the multi-channel delivery platformcategory, in order to ensure the digital support of the enterprises and cooperatives of the region.
Badr Lebjioui, Head of the SME Advisory and Information Service for Access to State Incentives at the IRC, said that the aim of the training is to accompany restaurateurs, caterers, traders, artisans and cooperatives of the province of Errachidia in the digitalization of the commercial process of their activities.
He added in a statement to MAP that it is also about helping them diversify the marketing channels for their products, especially since they have been negatively impacted by the situation caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Lebjioui said that the training was attended by some 40 persons active in the fields of catering, crafts and commerce, as well as representatives of some cooperatives in the province of Errachidia.
He emphasised that this initiative is part of the IRC Drâa-Tafilalet action plan for supporting companies and project promoters in the region in general.
The agreement signed between IRC Drâa-Tafilalet and Glovo aims to support SMEs and project promoters at regional level in using digital tools to market their products in the best possible conditions.
Through this agreement, the IRC Drâa-Tafilalet and Glovo Maroc are seeking to coordinate their efforts to serve the ecosystem in the sectors targeted by this partnership.
Glovo will help the IRC digitize registered cooperatives and TPME through the creation of virtual shops on the Glovo app, training and knowledge transfer, as well as sharing best practices.
